“It is a pleasure to be here today. Just as a preface before my remarks, I did compete as an Olympic athlete. I never used any performance enhancing substances, and although I represent athletes now who have been charged with the use of substances, I certainly do not endorse it and I see the need for a strong anti-doping program both in Olympic and professional sports. I competed when there were still two Germanies and the women on the East German team seemed to grow by exponential factors every year and when I was sixteen or seventeen and competing, I did not quite understand what that was all about, but I definitely do now. . . .
