Executive Articles Editors
Calen Monahan is an Executive Articles Editor for the New England Law Review Volume 54. She is a 3L J.D. candidate and will graduate in May of 2020 with an interest in criminal and civil law.
During her 1L and 2L year, Calen was employed at Bassil & Budreau, LLP as a law clerk to criminal defense attorney, Janice Bassil. Following her work at Bassil & Budreau, Calen completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Robert Tochka of the Superior Court of Massachusetts and is currently serving as a research assistant to Professor Lawrence Friedman. In addition to her role on the New England Law Review, Calen is the co-president of Phi Delta Phi, as well as a member of Criminal Law Society, International Law Society, and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Initiative. Calen spent most of her life growing up in Syracuse, New York and received her B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Niagara University in 2017.
