MaryCate Cassidy (she/her). Editor-in-chief, Volume 60. Juris Doctor Candidate 2026.

In the summer of 2025, MaryCate Cassidy was a legal intern for Morrison Mahoney LLP In addition to being the Editor in Chief of Law Review, MaryCate is also on the leadership team for the Center for International Law and Policy’s Operational Grievance Mechanism Project. She has previously interned for First Justice Joseph Johnston of the Norfolk Juvenile Court, Romanus Maduabuchi of Keypoint Law Group, and is looking forward to interning with the U.S. Attorney’s Office this fall.
From Tewksbury, Massachusetts, MaryCate graduated with honors from Sacred Heart University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English and an accompanying minor in Philosophy. MaryCate enjoys reading, running, and teaching dance classes at her local studio in her spare time.
Kostas Diakogiannis (he/him). Executive Online Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2024, Kostas served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Heela D. Capell in the Kings County Supreme Court. In the spring of 2025, he worked as a 3:03 certified student practitioner representing indigent parents in special education matters concerning their children’s educational rights. This summer, Kostas worked in the Civil Litigation Unit at the Connecticut Chief State’s Attorney’s Office. As a certified legal intern, he assisted in defending habeas corpus petitions. Kostas areas of legal interest include both civil and criminal litigation.
Kostas is originally from Burlington, Connecticut. He attended Central Connecticut State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Communication. Outside of his legal pursuits, he enjoys reading, exercising, and watching terrible reality television.
Madelyn Dean (she/her). Managing Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2025, Madelyn worked as a judicial intern for Judge Anthony M. Campo at Suffolk County Superior Court and in the fall, will be interning with the Massachusetts Division of Administrative Law Appeals. Previously, she also interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts in the Defensive Litigation Unit. Madelyn spent the summer of 2024 studying abroad in Galway, Ireland, studying under Chief Justice of the United States, John G. Roberts Jr.
Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Madelyn graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in History. While in college, she was a member of the swimming and diving team, becoming team captain in her final year while also working part-time as a math tutor for the university. Additionally, Madelyn currently works part-time teaching swim lessons for Harvard University. In her spare time, Madelyn enjoys cooking, swimming, and spending time with her friends.
Jordan Parris (she/her). Business Managing Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

This summer, Jordan is gaining valuable experience interning with the Judges Lobby at Norfolk County Juvenile Court. She has been assisting Judge Hardiman in Dedham and Judge Murrillo in Stoughton, while also contributing to the Administrative Office of the Juvenile Court by helping develop a practice guide for newly appointed judges.
Prior to this summer Jordan worked with a Pro Bono attorney gaining experience with both the private and public side of criminal law. She also worked for a private general practice attorney gaining experience in numerous types of cases. Jordan also participated in the Family Law clinic at NESL.
Originally from Rhode Island, Jordan has lived across two countries and four states. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to this internship, she gained hands-on experience as an undergraduate intern at the Public Defender’s Office in Fort Lauderdale.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys exploring new places and discovering uniquely beautiful sights off the beaten path.
Rebecca Shan (she/her). Senior Executive Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Rebecca is a third-year law student who recently wrapped up her second legal internship at the MA Department of Children and Families where she practiced as a 303 Certified Attorney in the Boston Juvenile Court. She also has experience in mergers and acquisitions from her previous internship at a specialty insurance brokerage. Her legal interests include child welfare law and tax law.
Originally from Manchester, Massachusetts, Rebecca graduated from Boston College in 2023 with a BA in English, Economics, and Philosophy. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys DJing and playing poker.

Molly is in her 3rd year of law school as a Sandra Day O’Connor Merit Scholar. Before law school, Molly graduated with a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, as a Boettcher Foundation Scholar. She also earned two minors in Leadership and Political Science and a Public Health certificate. She studied abroad for a semester at sea and studied in Galway, Ireland, with Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
Molly interned with the Vermont Attorney General’s office during the summer of 2024 with the Agency of Human Services. Before law school, she taught 9th and 10th grade and interned at the Colorado Attorney General’s office. Molly also worked for the Denver Broncos and University of Colorado in Public Relations and Sports Information. She additionally completed an internship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. She was captain of the Colorado Swim & Dive team, a head dive coach, and still coaches swim while in law school.
Elise Linn (she/her). Online Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2025, Elise interned with the Volunteer Lawyers Project, where she worked with both the Medical-Legal Partnership and Wills units. In the upcoming fall semester, Elise will begin her role as a judicial intern for Justice Gaziano of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court through the school’s Honors Judicial Internship Program. She is excited for the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the appellate process at the state’s highest court.
Elise is originally from Hampden, Maine. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Outside of school, Elise enjoys training for her next powerlifting meet, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends and family.
Sara Pross (she/her). Online Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Sara is a third-year law student at New England Law | Boston with a strong interest in torts and medical malpractice. This summer, she worked at a personal injury law firm, where her passion for advocating for clients in complex tort and medical malpractice cases continued to grow. Before law school, Sara interned at a personal injury firm in North Carolina, where she assisted on numerous cases, including the Camp Lejeune class action lawsuit.
Originally from Mooresville, North Carolina, Sara earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Pre-Law from Clemson University. Outside of law school, she leads a small group at her local church, enjoys running along the Esplanade with her dog, McCaffrey, and mentors’ individuals through a prison outreach program.
Charles Gallagher (he/him). Senior Executive Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Charles is from Worcester, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University, where he served as Captain of the University’s NCAA Division I lacrosse team. After graduating, Charles lived in Madrid, Spain, studying Spanish full-time as part of a study abroad program. He also has several years of bartending experience, along with extensive experience in the construction industry.
During law school, Charles has interned with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office, a private general practice in Worcester, and twice with a U.S. District Court Judge.
Annie Jeong (she/her). Executive Techincal Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2025, Annie worked as a 3:03 certified student practitioner at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court. Annie’s legal areas of interest include criminal law and litigation. She is also currently involved on campus in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) as co-president and serves as a LexisNexis representative.
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Annie attended the University of Wisconsin—Madison, where she double majored in Political Science and Legal Studies. Prior to attending New England Law | Boston, she worked as a grant writer for an international human rights non-profit and later as an English teacher in South Korea. In her spare time, Annie enjoys playing tennis and scooping ice cream on weekend nights.
Rachel Powell (she/her). Executive Copy Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Rachel grew up in Syracuse, New York and went to Butler University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before law school, she lived in the Adirondacks and worked at a youth residential program, which inspired her passion and interest in juvenile advocacy and defense.
Rachel is the Training & Legal Resource Coordinator for the CORI Initiative, and in spring 2025 she interned at Greater Boston Legal Services’ CORI & Re-entry Project. Rachel spent her 1L summer working for Justice Barbar in Middlesex Family & Probate Court, and her 2L summer interning with Citizens for Juvenile Justice, exploring many angles of the law and how it impacts individuals and communities.
Olivia Baldino (she/her). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

During the summer of 2024, Olivia worked as a law clerk for the City of Somerville. She provided detailed research on the relationships between federal, state, and local governments and drafted motions on individual constitutional and statutory claims against the City. In addition, Olivia contributed to the New England Law | Boston Transitional Justice in the United States research initiative as a summer fellow. Her legal interests include intellectual property, environmental law, and human rights.
Olivia grew up in Laurel Springs, New Jersey, before attending Florida Institute of Technology and receiving a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Prelaw in 2023. Olivia has always been heavily involved in her community, serving as a resident assistant, community director, and president of two outreach clubs in her years at Florida Tech. Olivia’s undergraduate research includes assisting with manuscript preparation in philosophy and scientific paper preparation in organic chemistry. Whenever she gets the chance, Olivia enjoys painting scenes of nature, reading historical fiction, and going on hiking and paddleboarding adventures.
Sophia Brown (she/her). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

During the Summer of 2025, Sophia worked with the Boston Housing Authority. As a 3:03 certified student practitioner, she represented the BHA in both non-payment and for-cause eviction cases. During the Summer of 2023, she interned with the New England First Amendment Coalition, where she researched municipal free speech concerns around the region. At New England Law, Sophia is involved with the First Gen Program and the Identity Affirmation Project and is pursuing a concentration in International Law.
Originally from Kingston, Rhode Island, Sophia attended Boston University for college, graduating with degrees in Journalism and International Relations. Prior to starting law school, she worked with the Medford Housing Authority. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and various fiber crafts.
William Doherty (he/him). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the Summer of 2024, William interned with the Gaming Enforcement Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, working to enforce the commonwealth’s gambling act and prosecute offenses committed at one of Massachusett’s three licensed casinos. There, William was able to receive 3.03 certification, representing the Commonwealth in local court.
In the Spring of 2024, William worked with the Division of Administrative Law Appeals (DALA), acting as a research and drafting assistant for the administrative magistrates. While there, William drafted a now implemented policy determining what records must be preserved for appeals purposes. William drafted a number of opinions seeking to resolve unanswered questions in retirement law.
A Massachusetts native, William studied history and political science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell before discovering a love for the law interning with Grossman Young & Hammond LLC, a leading DC immigration firm. Over the last year, William devoted his passion for community into heading the New England Law OUTLaws, the LGBTQ+ affinity group. In his free time, William likes to keep active, build DIY projects, and restore classic orphan cars.
Anessa Feero (she/her). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2025, Anessa was a summer associate at Morgan & Morgan working in complex litigation. In the summer of 2024, she was a judicial intern for Judge Julia Kobick at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Anessa is involved in several student organizations, including the Black Law Students Association and Debate Club. Additionally, she is a Team Lead in the CORI Initiative and a Lexis Nexis representative.
Anessa moved to Boston from Anchorage, AK. She studied at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Minor in Communication, Policy, and Law. Throughout school, Anessa was extensively involved in competitive debate. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and exploring the city.
Paige Glenister (she/her). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

During the spring of 2025, Paige was a legal intern for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office in the Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division (ERA). In the summer of 2025, Paige interned in the legal division at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER). During the fall semester of 2025, Paige will work as a judicial intern at the Boston Municipal Court.
Originally from California, Paige attended San Francisco State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. In her spare time Paige could be found hiking, baking, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
Aaron Jenkins (he/him). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Aaron Jenkins is an evening student currently employed as a Law Clerk at Rubenstein Law. He began volunteering with the New England Law CORI Initiative in his first year and recently began as one of the Initiative’s Co-Managers. He also serves as the Evening Liaison for New England Law’s Public Interest Law Association in his hopes of involving more part-time students in legal aid and community service.
An aspiring public defender, Aaron is interested in criminal defense and housing law. He has previously worked at the Anchorage Youth Court and the Boston Bar Association. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, he enjoys kayaking and hiking. In his spare time, he plays piano, reads, and plays games with his siblings.

Celia graduated from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business in 2019 with a major in Business Administration and Management and a concentration in Business Law. Prior to attending New England Law, she worked as a litigation paralegal at Tempus Fugit Law in downtown Boston, focusing on business litigation, employment litigation, and personal injury. Her areas of legal interest include criminal law and immigration.
Originally from Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Celia has called Boston home for almost a decade. In her spare time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, exploring Boston’s culinary scene, and spending time with her two cats.
Mallory Mee (she/her). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

In the summer of 2024, Mallory worked as a judicial intern for Rockwall County, where she gained experience in both criminal and civil matters. She has also previously interned for the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, where she learned many litigation strategies. Mallory looks forward to joining more campus organizations as her education continues. Some of her areas of legal interest include government and criminal law.
Mallory is originally from Texas, where she attended Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, Mallory earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and was an active member of several campus organizations. In her roles for those organizations, she enjoyed working with people from all backgrounds and hearing their perspectives. During university, Mallory also worked as a gymnastics coach and a camp counselor, sparking an interest in juvenile law and reformative justice programs. She enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with friends in her free time.
Keith Moss (he/him). Article Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Previously, Keith was employed as a Legal and Compliance Intern for hc1, an innovative software company providing services related to streamlining on-going compliance for medical device manufacturers both domestically and abroad. In addition, Keith also worked as an investigative analyst for Provider Data Experts where he assisted in developing investigative reports for clients including vetting and impeaching expert witnesses, researching medical providers, as well as investigating nursing homes, health facilities, and product liability. In the summer of 2025, Keith was a judicial intern for Judge Campo at the Suffolk County Superior Court. In this role, he had the opportunity to observe various legal proceedings, conduct legal research, and assist in drafting judicial memoranda and orders.
While originally from Massachusetts, Keith graduated from the University of South Florida where he received his bachelor’s degree in criminology and a minor in psychology. In his spare time, Keith enjoys staying active by hiking, running, playing pickleball and tennis, as well as finding new recipes to cook in the kitchen. Keith’s current areas of legal interest which he hopes to explore further include estate planning, real estate and business law.
Keith is awarded the Scribe Award twice for his Comment and Note. The Scribe Award is awarded to the highest scoring student-written article.
Olivia Bishop (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Olivia is a law student from North Attleboro, Massachusetts, with a strong interest in corporate and sports law. In the summer of 2024, she interned at Murtha Cullina (now Harris Beach Murtha), a prominent business law firm in New England. Based in their Boston office, she gained comprehensive exposure to various legal practice areas by undertaking diverse projects. In the spring and summer of 2025, she interned with the Division of Administrative Law Appeals in Malden. She worked closely with Magistrates to review case files, draft decisions, and observe administrative hearings. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Compliance and Risk Management.
She is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Women’s Law Caucus, the Business Law Society, and the First-Generation Students Program. Olivia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2023. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends while exploring all that Boston has to offer.

Sam works full-time as a Litigation Paralegal at Melick & Porter, LLP. He recently participated in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Moot Court Competition and is also a Sandra Day O’Connor Honors Program member.
Sam is originally from Mansfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering in 2022. In his free time, Sam enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.

During the summer of 2024, Bailey was a judicial intern for Honorable Adam L. Sisitsky at Suffolk Superior Court in Boston. While there, she assisted in a Civil Litigation and a Criminal Motions session for Judge Sisitsky. She researched and drafted orders on various trial motions, including motions to dismiss, for summary judgment, and to suppress. Before law school, Bailey worked as a paralegal at Mintz Levin for two years in their specialized Securities Litigation Department.
Bailey was born in Boston and grew up in Milton, MA. She graduated magna cum laude from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, double majoring in Public Policy & Law and French. In her spare time, Bailey enjoys teaching cycling classes, doing lagree, and spending time at her family’s cottage in Manomet, MA.
Reda Elkhadiji (he/him). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Since August 2023, Reda has been the volunteer supervisor leading the pro-bono legal clinic at ICNA Relief as part of the Massachusetts Immigration Collaborative. Reda specializes in humanitarian and business immigration, as well as family law. He is currently an intern at the Immigration Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services. Reda’s commitment to diversity and inclusion led him to found the Muslim Students Association during his first year of law school.
Raised in Methuen, Reda holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In his free time, he pursues interests in hiking, boxing, taekwondo, and traveling abroad.
Gabrielle Frugard (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Gabi started as an intern at Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) in the Immigration Unit in May 2024. This past summer, she accepted a position as a law clerk working in the GBLS Immigration Unit’s Pro Se Asylum Clinic. Prior to law school, she worked as a bartender and as an immigration paralegal at Rubin Pomerleau P.C. She is especially interested in immigration law and criminal defense.
After graduating high school in Brookline, New Hampshire, Gabi attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with a concentration in Philosophical, Literary, and Legal Studies. In her free time, Gabi loves reading cheesy mysteries and trying to beat her own PR on the New York Times Crossword.

During the summer of 2024, Teresa interned at Community Legal Aid in Worcester, Massachusetts. She worked in CLA’s Veteran Services Unit, where she predominantly assisted in defending veterans facing eviction. Teresa is also a Sandra Day O’Connor Honors Program member and works as a research assistant for NELB’s Center for International Law & Policy.
Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Teresa attended Assumption University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Core Texts. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys traveling.

In the Summer of 2024, Jack was a Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Richard G. DiGirolamo, primarily focusing on real estate litigation and other business litigation matters.
Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jack attended the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Economics and Political Science. In his free time, Jack enjoys watching his Minnesota sports teams, hanging out with his buddies, and spending time on the water.
Emma Hannon (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

During the summer of 2025, Emma worked as a 3:03 Certified Student Attorney for the Victim Rights Law Center. This fall, she will be clerking for the Hon. Melanie Gargas, at the Middlesex Probate and Family Court. Emma previously worked as a legal intern at MetroWest Legal Services and the Volunteer Lawyers Project and hopes to pursue a career in public interest law.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Emma attended Ohio University, receiving a double Bachelor of Science in Media Studies and Communications. Prior to law school, Emma worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist, translating complex topics into digestible and effective media strategies for organizations of all sizes. Her time as a board member for the Cincinnati non-profit Brewhaus Bakery & Dog Bones inspired her to attend law school. Emma enjoys exploring new parks with her puppy Scout in her spare time.
Marissa Howell-Heath (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Marissa works full-time for the Commonwealth’s Department of Children and Families General Council’s Legal Office as a Revenue Paralegal Specialist and has done so for the past five years. Previously, she worked as a paralegal for plaintiff’s attorneys in toxic tort litigation here in Boston. While an undergraduate at American University in Washington DC, Marissa interned for the District of Columbia’s Pretrial Services Agency, assisting in releasing recommendations for Superior and District Court judicial review. Marissa then went on to intern with the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth, aiding the effort to protect children’s human rights and to reform life equivalent sentencing of those under 18 years old.
Originally from Andover, Massachusetts, Marissa graduated cum laude from American University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice, Law, and Criminology. In her spare time, she pursues her passion for fitness and enjoys nature by horseback riding or walking with family and friends.
Sehee Jeon (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

Sehee is a 3L interested in energy law. Previously, she interned at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU), and the Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office (AGO).
Sehee is from Seoul, South Korea, and she graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies as a valedictorian and summa cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Bachelor of Public Policy in Law. Before moving to the United States, she worked as an English teacher in Seoul and Seongnam City.
Grace Keith (she/her). Comment and Note Editor, Volume 60. 2026 Juris Doctor Candidate.

During the Summer of 2024, Grace interned in the Major Felonies Unit at the Worcester County D.A.’s Office. There she drafted memoranda later used in oral argument, observed criminal proceedings in the Superior Court, and organized evidence from unresolved homicides. During the Summer of 2025 Grace interned in the Family Law Department at Long-Hagan Huff Harris. There she drafted various pleadings, created asset division charts, and attended court hearings, depositions, and conciliations related to divorce and child custody cases. This Fall of 2025, Grace will be returning to the Worcester County D.A.’s Office to prosecute criminal cases as a student practitioner under a 3:03 license. She has a general interest in litigation, criminal law, and family law.
Grace received a B.A. In English with a concentration in creative writing from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. There, she played Division I Women’s Soccer, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and worked as a research assistant for two published non-fiction authors. Before law school, Grace held an array of different jobs. Kylee is a 3L originally from Pennsylvania. She graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which sparked her interest in understanding human behavior and its application to the law. Kylee’s legal areas of focus include family law, sports, and entertainment.

Eleni spent her summer under a student practice order at the Office of the Dutchess County Public Defender. There, she arraigned criminal defendants, wrote and served motions, and conducted legal research for criminal trials. Previously she clerked for Rubenstein Law doing personal injury work, and interned at Greater Boston Legal Services Housing Unit doing eviction defense and federal benefits work. During the summer of 2024, Eleni interned for the New York State Office of the Attorney General Letitia James. Following his first year at New England Law | Boston, Jacob worked at the Massachusetts State House in the State Legislature as a full-time Legal Intern in the Office of the Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. Jacob undertook advanced legal and policy research and utilized his deep interest in public policy in the hands-on drafting of legislation. Starting in the summer of 2024, Lainey worked as a summer law clerk at Schneider & Onofry, P.C., a boutique civil litigation firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Here, Lainey has worked in multiple areas of civil litigation but has a special interest in estate planning and probate litigation and hopes to pursue a career in this field after graduation.

Elena is a third-year law student at New England Law | Boston with a special interest in civil litigation, contract disputes, torts, and intellectual property law. This past summer, Alicia interned with the Office of Bar Counsel in Boston and participated in the Judicial Intern Academy run by the Federal Bar Association. Originally from Waltham, Massachusetts, Alicia attended Fordham University in New York, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Communications.
Outside of school, Alicia likes exploring, art, fashion, and travel. She enjoys Boston’s local art museums and galleries. Emily graduated from Villanova University in May of 2024. At Villanova she was an Alpha Phi sister in the Eta Epsilon chapter and participated in NovaDance and Special Olympics. She majored in psychology and minored in French and Francophone studies, even spending time with a host family studying in the north of France in the summer of 2023. At New England Law Boston, she is one of the co research coordinators for the transitional justice in the USA mapping project, where she was a research assistant during her 1L year. Maria is a third-year law student at New England Law | Boston with a strong passion for public interest work, specifically in the Family and Probate Court. For the past six years, she has worked in various roles within the public and private legal sectors, as well as with local pro-bono organizations and clinics. She currently works for a general practice firm with a focus on probate law. As a first-generation Italian-American, and law student, Maria founded the Italian American Law Students Association during her 1L year and currently serves as President of the organization.
Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in legal studies with a minor in business management from Florida Gulf Coast University. During her studies she served her community as a Justice Navigator with the Lee County Courthouse, a volunteer with the Harry Chapin Food Bank, and created and hosted a podcast highlighting the local music and art scene.

In the summer of 2025, Filomena DaSilva was a law clerk for Silva Santos PC. In addition to being an associate of Law Review, Filomena is also a member of various clubs including Immigration Law Association (ILA), Black Law Student Association (BLSA), and the Women’s and Children’s Project (WCAP). She has previously worked at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, and Loewy LPP, Boston Legal Services, with their immigration unit, and served as the legal assistant to Maura S. In the summer of 2025, Heather worked as a law clerk at Silva Santos, P.C. in Brockton, Massachusetts, focusing on personal injury matters—including car accidents, medical malpractice claims, slip-and-fall cases, and dog bites—as well as real estate closings. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Heather is now a second-year, full-time student at New England Law | Boston. Eilis began her legal career working as a paralegal at a labor and employment firm, where she handled discrimination claims and wage and hour violations. During 1L, she volunteered at the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Immigration Unit, filing asylum applications and preparing work permits. In the summer of 2025, Eilis interned for the MBTA’s Office of the General Counsel, Labor and Employment Department.

In the summer of 2025, Kasandra was a fellow at the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, where she served as a Child Advocate for a detained unaccompanied minor, drafted a best interest determination in support of an asylum grant, and researched international law and country protocols for the repatriation and reintegration of minors as part of the organization’s policy project. At New England Kasandra did research for the Operational-level Grievance Mechanism Research Project and is involved with the Immigration Law Association.
Originally from California, Kasandra attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a Minor in Labor and Workplace Studies. Before entering law school, she worked in Washington, D.C., as a paralegal with the Legal Orientation Program for Custodians of Unaccompanied Minors at Catholic Charities. In this role, she provided a range of services for individuals navigating the immigration system across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

In the summer of 2025, Susan worked as a 3:03 certified student practitioner with the Committe for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) in the Public Defender Division Quincy Office. Previously, she participated in the Public Interest Law clinic at New England, where she interned for De Novo Center for Justice and Healing in the Housing Division. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Susan attended the University of Arizona where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and a Minor in Classics. She later went on to receive a Graduate degree from the same institution in Human Rights Practice. Before coming to law school, Susan had a prior career in Denver, Colorado, managing a network of non-congregate homeless shelters during the pandemic. Fletcher joins the Law Review with a background in nonprofit work and education. He previously assisted GED students in Roxbury, aided nutritional education in the Lehigh Valley, and labored away on LaFarm growing organic veggies for the local market. At New England Law Boston, he is a member of the Environmental Law and Intellectual Property Law Associations.
Fletcher hails from the start of the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and received a BS in Chemical Engineering at Lafayette College. In the summer of 2025, Blerta was a judicial intern at the Boston Municipal Court, Dorchester Division, where she worked closely with Judge Thomas Kaplanes and gained experience in legal research and writing. Gants Judicial Scholarship. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, painting, and swimming. Previously, Blerta interned at the Embassy of Kosovo in Prague and the Mashinsky Group.
Matthew Kane (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Matt served as a Law Clerk at the Massachusetts Division of Administrative Law Appeals, where he primarily drafted decisions in collaboration with administrative law judges in retirement disputes, professional discipline matters, and fair labor cases. Previously, he worked as a Law Clerk at a boutique family law practice, drafting research memoranda and providing litigation support. Before law school, Matt spent four years as a paralegal and legal assistant at firms in Maine.
His legal interests include civil and criminal litigation, real estate, and mergers and acquisitions. Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine, with minors in Legal Studies and Philosophy. In his spare time, he enjoys local recreational league sports, cooking, and hiking throughout the northeast. Earlier in his career, Matt worked as a professional chef while attending college.
Grace Kimura (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Grace interned for the Honorable Nicholas Ostuni in the New Jersey Superior Court, Bergen Vicinage, General Equity Division. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Real Estate Law Society. Her legal interests include wills, trusts, and estates; contract disputes; and intellectual property law.
Originally from Wyckoff, New Jersey, Grace earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Justice Studies, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of New Hampshire. Previously, she interned at the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Outside of law school, Grace enjoys pilates, reading mystery books, and discovering new restaurants with friends and family.

Sam interned at the Exoneration Initiative in New York in summer 2025. At New England Law, Sam is involved with the Transitional Justice in the USA Mapping Project and will be taking on a Research Coordinator role with the project. Sam’s legal interests include criminal law and innocence work.
Although Sam grew up in New Jersey and is proud of her home state, she’s called Massachusetts home for the past 10 years. Prior to law school, Sam graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Health, Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP) and a minor in Business. Sam had a career in healthcare technology as a Customer Success Manager and worked across the healthcare spectrum before changing her career path to law. When she’s not working towards her law degree, Sam enjoys reading dystopian novels, listening to true crime podcasts and finishing the daily NY Times mini-crossword in record time.
Thomas Leone (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

Tom Leone spent the summer of 2025 as a volunteer student intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, contributing to the Narcotics and Money Laundering Unit. In the summer of 2024, Tom interned in Massachusetts Superior Court, assisting a judge in both criminal and civil sessions. His areas of legal interest include litigation and criminal law.
Originally from Hopkinton Massachusetts, Tom attended Tufts University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Sociology, and played for the Jumbos baseball team. As an evening student at NELB, Tom spends his days working at the Edward Davis Company where he is a Project Analyst. In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing recreational sports, and eating.

In summer 2025, Gabriel interned as a summer fellow with Vert Law Group drafting motions, pleadings, and demand letters for civil litigation in different jurisdictions throughout the country. Gabriel is a proud member of the Latin American Law Student Association and continues to work as a barista throughout law school. He has a general interest in intellectual property and business law.
Originally born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Gabriel moved to Florida at a young age. Gabriel received bachelor’s degrees in both economics and political science from the University of South Florida. In his free time, Gabriel enjoys thrift shopping, collecting vinyl records, and cooking.

Logan McAndrews (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2026.

Logan is a 3L at New England Law. In the summer of 2025, Logan interned at Veterans Legal Services (VLS) in Boston, where she supported legal advocacy for underserved veterans. Logan was a research assistant for the Transitional Justice Research Team during her 1L year and currently serves as the secretary of the International Law Society. During the summer of 2024, Logan studied abroad in Galway, Ireland taking courses with an emphasis in international law. Her areas of legal interest include international and human rights law.

In the summer of 2025, Taylor was an intern at the Law Office of Mark D. Cooper where she aided in providing various forms of immigration relief including family-based and humanitarian-based petitions.
Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Taylor attended the College of William and Mary and received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology focusing on Criminology and Law. Previously, Taylor volunteered at the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia where she helped clients navigate family law proceedings. Her areas of interest include Immigration Law and Family Law. Madeline McGonagle (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Madeline interned with the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. With a placement at Miner Siddall LLP, she assisted on trial preparation of white-collar criminal defense cases. Before attending New England Law | Boston, she was a paralegal at a Boston-based personal injury firm for over two years.
Madeline attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Minor in Spanish, and a certificate in Criminology. In her free time, Madeline loves to spend time with her family and friends and is an avid skier during the long New England winters.

Ellen is a second-year law student who most recently completed internships at the Law Office of Matthew P. Fitzsimmons in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, during the summers of 2023 and 2024. In this role, she assisted with matters involving transactional real estate and estate planning. Makayla graduated summa cum laude from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023 in a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Tatum has gained valuable experience through internships at several firms. She spent five years at Davis Law Group, LLC, specializing in family and real estate law. This past summer, Tatum interned at both the Law Offices of Richard G. Di Girolamo and Rivera-Bujosa Law, PC, continuing her focus on real estate. She has a strong passion for both family law and real estate and plans to pursue a career in these areas.
Tatum completed her undergraduate studies at Suffolk University, double-majoring in Law and Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy. Last summer, Lyla had an internship in the General Counsel’s office of Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York. As a trauma 1 hospital, Lyla experienced several different aspects of the legal field including medical malpractice defense, labor and employment matters, and public interest legislation. Lyla’s legal interests include medical malpractice defense, labor law, sports law , and entertainment law.
Lyla is originally from Buffalo, New York and attended Binghamton University in upstate New York and gained a degree in political science with a minor in human rights. Originally born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Emily immigrated to the United States at just eight months old. She spent much of her upbringing in Darien, Illinois, before relocating with her family to Jupiter, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Professional and Technical Communications with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of South Florida. In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, staying active, and spending time with her cats.

Anna is a third-year Sandra Day O’Connor Honors student at New England Law | Boston. In the summer of 2025, Anna interned with the University of Massachusetts Office of General Counsel in Boston, focusing on federal litigation and its relation to higher education law. Her legal interests include public interest and intellectual property law. Anna is a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and Intellectual Property Law Association, as well as a student mentor to first-year students.
Anna attended UMass Lowell where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and was a member of the Legal Studies Society and Biology Research Club. Her undergraduate research focused on discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in STEM-based settings. In the summer of 2025, Michael was a legal intern for Coughlin Law Group, a criminal defense firm located in Boston. There, he drafted motions, interacted with clients, and observed court proceedings across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In the summer of 2024, Michael interned at the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked with the Lowell Superior Court Trial Team. Juliette Owen (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

During the summer of 2025, Juliette served as a research assistant to Professor Laplante, assisting in the preparation and writing of an amicus brief for submission to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. In her 1L summer, she also worked as a law clerk at an immigration and personal injury law firm in downtown Boston. Her primary area of interest is civil litigation.
Juliette is originally from Los Angeles, California, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with minors in Political Science and Communication, from the University of Colorado Boulder. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and attending live music events. Originally from Iceland, Karen came to the U.S. to attend Quinnipiac University, where she majored in Political Science and Law in Society. There, Karen interned at the General Counsel’s Office, as well as being involved in Student Government and the Pre Law Society.

Nicole is a third-year law student at New England Law | Boston. She has been working as a Settlement Claims Processor at the Ferraro Law Firm since 2020 and spent the summer of 2024 studying abroad at the University of Galway with John Roberts, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Nicole attended the University of Miami, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Law and Management, and minored in Music Business and the Business of Motion Pictures. Nicole hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment industry after graduating in the spring.

In the summer of 2025, Sofia was an intern in the Gang Unit for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. She spent the summer conducting legal research, writing direct indictments, and attending court proceedings. Sofia is a member of multiple student organizations including the Criminal, International, and Environmental law societies. This fall she will be a legal intern with Citizens for Juvenile Justice where she will be focused on juvenile policy.

Kate Reynolds (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Kate served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Thomas A. Callahan in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County, Criminal Division. Earlier that summer, she participated in New England Law’s study abroad program in Galway, Ireland. She currently serves as a team lead for the on-campus Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Initiative, where she develops practical advocacy and client communication skills. Kate earned her undergraduate degree in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where she honed her writing and research abilities. Before law school, she worked for two years at a public relations firm, gaining experience in persuasive communication and project management.
Outside of her legal studies, Kate is a certified fitness instructor and avid runner. She has completed seven half marathons and ran in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon.
Daniel Riordan (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

Daniel Riordan is a 2L at New England Law | Boston interested in civil rights and social advocacy for marginalized communities. He recently interned at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), where he conducted extensive legislative research on the anti-discrimination laws governing education in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2022 with a major in English, a concentration in Creative Writing, and a minor in Biology. In 2020 he was awarded the Peter Brooks Butler Memorial Fellowship to conduct a summer study in English Literature at Trinity College, Oxford. Before he completed his undergraduate degree, Daniel took a three-year break and worked in the private yachting industry as a deckhand.
Daniel recently completed his first 50-mile race. It was his 16th marathon, and he has his eyes on running a 100-mile race next year. When he’s not running or studying, you can find Daniel at the Boston Poetry Slam Open Mic at the Cantab Lounge or performing at various poetry venues across the greater New England area. You may be surprised to learn that Daniel still manages to get eight hours of sleep every night. He’s just as surprised as you are.
Marisa Rothenberger (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Marisa completed a judicial internship for the Honorable Thomas S. Kaplanes at the Boston Municipal Court – Dorchester Division. Marisa is involved in multiple student organizations and is currently the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association and a Team Lead for The CORI Initiative. Originally from Plainview, New York, Marisa attended James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She received a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies with a concentration in Crime/Criminology. While attending JMU, Marisa was a member of the rugby team. She then went on to receive her Paralegal Certificate from Boston University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and painting. Previously, she has worked for two years as a paralegal for two solo practitioners in Bayside, New York.
Ellery Sachs (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

Since starting law school, Ellery has had the opportunity to volunteer with causes he is passionate about – the CORI project, helping to expunge criminal records, as well as the Oakland County, MI Conviction Integrity Unit, reviewing potential wrongful convictions. Taking advantage of expanded online access during COVID-era lockdowns, he completed his undergraduate degree through a work-scholars program.
Originally from Utah, Ellery had a 20-year career as a flight attendant prior to law school. He is devoted to his blended family, raising a toddler and four older daughters with his wife. His unconventional path to law, diverse experiences, and deep commitment to justice reform fuel his enthusiasm for the legal field’s potential to drive meaningful change.

Originally from South Boston, MA, Tim is a graduate of Boston College where he majored in Political Science and minored in Chinese. Before starting New England Law | Boston, Tim worked for two years at the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office as an Administrative Assistant and then at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as a Victim-Witness Advocate in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court and ended his time there in the Juvenile Unit.
While a full-time law student, Tim also works part-time as a Legal Assistant in the Superior Court Division for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, Tim is active in his community, sitting on the Board of Trustees for the Harry McDonough Sailing Center, serves as the Clerk for Southie Totus Tuus – a young adult Catholic ministry group – as well as the Board of Directors for the South Boston Citizens’ Association which is the oldest civic group in the Nation.
Elaine Sury (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Elaine was an intern at the Office of General Counsel for MassDOT/MBTA and gained valuable insight into the public sector. Elaine’s areas of legal interest currently include criminal law and appeals. Elaine is thrilled to serve as a team lead with the CORI Initiative this fall as well as with various SBA committees.
Originally from Waco, Texas, Elaine attended the University of North Texas, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a concentration in Forensic Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Prior to law school, Elaine worked as a paralegal for a private general practice law firm in her hometown and supervised the family law practice there, which she vows never to touch again. In her free time, Elaine loves strolling through beautiful spaces, seeking out artistic experiences, and hunting for trinkets.
Gustav Wachhaus (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2026.

In the spring of 2025, Gustav (Gus) was an intern at the Massachusetts Appeals Court for the honorable Justice Joseph Ditkoff. That summer, Gus was selected as a Ralph D. Gants Judicial Scholar to continue in that role. His areas of legal interest include constitutional law and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Gus attended Texas A&M University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Commissioned into the Army. In his spare time, Gus enjoys running, climbing, and hiking. Previously, Gus clerked at Iannella and Mummolo, a local personal injury firm.
Maggie Weeks (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

This past summer Maggie interned at the Suffolk County DA’s office in the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Unit. She volunteered with CORI during her first year at New England Law, and Maggie will be participating in New England Law’s Public Interest Clinic this year. Her areas of legal interest include criminal law, specifically domestic violence and sexual assault law.
Maggie attended Whitman College in Washington State for her undergraduate career and majored in Anthropology and Politics. After graduating she was a Paralegal at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Seattle, Washington working in their Civil Litigation division. Alyssa has had the pleasure of interning in a number of public and private legal environments since beginning her law school career, including New England Law’s In-House Family Law Clinic. Most notably, Alyssa was a Judicial Intern for the Hon. Janine D. Rivers of the Suffolk Probate and Family Court for the Spring 2025 semester. Alyssa has a strong interest in pursuing a Family Law concentration.

Lily Williamson (she/her). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

In the summer of 2025, Lily worked as legal intern at Bade Law Group, LLC, a boutique immigration firm in Brookline, MA. Here she gained experience sitting in on bond hearings, conducting legal research, and drafting various bond motions, briefs, and memoranda. Lily is fluent in both English and Spanish, and was able to use these skills throughout her internship translating in meetings and drafting affidavits. During the school year, Lily participates in the CORI Initiative as a Team Lead.

David Wilmarth (he/him). Juris Doctor Candidate 2027.

An evening student, David works as a Corporate Paralegal for Nasuni, a hybrid cloud storage software company in Boston’s Seaport. There, he manages the day-to-day operations of the Legal department, including the full life cycle of their contract management system. He has prior legal experience working in the fields of environmental engineering and securities class actions. David’s areas of legal interest include contracts, property, and business.
Originally from Brookline, MA, David attended the University of Connecticut and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In his free time, David enjoys days at the beach with his young family, walks in the woods with his dog, and cheering for the Patriots on football Sundays.

Austin is in his third year of law school in the part-time evening program. He graduated from Marquette University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Political Science. Austin worked for three years in Dallas, TX as a police officer after graduating from college. Since 2013, he has continued to work in government with a focus on organized crime and intelligence-driven, complex investigations.
Outside of work and school, Austin is active in his church community and enjoys watching hockey and football, playing pickup basketball, or spending time with his wife traveling, hiking with their German Shepherd, and losing golf balls in the woods while his wife patiently waits for him on the green.
