Dear Friend,

We are writing to ask for your support in raising money in honor of our friend, classmate, and colleague, Nathaniel “Nate” Downing, who passed away unexpectedly in the spring of 2012.

Nate was born with a rare heart disease known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that is closely associated with sudden cardiac arrest, especially in young people. To help others with similar cardiac conditions, we are organizing “Neon Fest 2014!!!,” an annual, dance-style fundraiser where we celebrate Nate’s life and raise money for the Pediatric Heart Center at Boston Children’s Hospital. This year our goal is to raise $15,000. Here’s what you need to know about the event:

  • What: Neon Fest 2014!!!
  • When: Saturday, April 12th at 8:00 PM
  • Where: Sweetwater Tavern, Boston, MA
  • Cost: $20 cover, payable at door
  • Attire: Neon t-shirts, sun glasses, koozies, glow necklaces, and bracelets will be provided
