Kate Barry

Kate Barry (she/her) is a Comment and Note Editor for the New England Law Review, Volume 58. She is a 3L Juris Doctor Candidate and will graduate in May of 2024 with a primary interest in Labor and Employment Litigation.

Kate will be joining Greenberg Traurig, LLP after graduation as an Associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. During her 2L year, Kate interned for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court for Justice David A. Lowy and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, working in employment investigations. During her 1L year, Kate worked for Sherin and Lodgen, LLP as a law clerk in the Hospitality Practice Group, assisting in real estate transactions, and at Rosen & Goyal, P.C. conducting legal research for small businesses and individual plaintiffs in matters of employment litigation.

Kate worked for years in hotels and restaurants in New York and Boston in management and human resources. She was inspired to go to Law School following the devastating impact of the pandemic on the restaurant industry.

Kate is from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, and received a B.A. in Hospitality Management from Boston University. Kate loves to cook and often hosts her family and friends with the help of her husband, Joe, and dog, Louie.
