Kristie Kargus

Kristie Kargus (she/her) is the Executive Technical Editor for the New England Law Review, Volume 58. She is a candidate for Juris Doctor, 2024. Kristie is also the Justice for the MacLean Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, a Campus Outreach Chair for the Boston Bar Association, and a member of the Entertainment & Sports Law Organization.

Currently, Kristie is a law clerk at a corporate defense firm in Boston. She previously served as a judicial intern for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) for the Honorable Associate Justice Serge Georges, Jr. through the Honors Judicial Internship program. At the SJC, she researched and drafted recitation memoranda, edited draft opinions, and observed oral arguments. During the Summer of 2022, Kristie interned with the Massachusetts Office of the State Auditor in the General Counsel’s office, where she assisted with responding to public records requests, completed research projects, and analyzed government agency regulations. Kristie is primarily interested in First Amendment law and intellectual property within sports and entertainment industries. 

Kristie is from the small town of Omro, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Radio, Television & Film. Aside from law school, Kristie currently works at a concert venue in Boston and enjoys watching sports, going to the movies, and trying new restaurants with friends.
